Kumarnetic Private Limited ("Kumar Classes", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. It applies to www.kumarclasses.com and to our coaching centre operations.
Because we teach children, most of the information we hold relates to minors. We treat that information with particular care.
1. Information We Collect
When you make an enquiry, submit an admission form, enrol a student, or pay fees, we may collect:
- Student details: name, date of birth, gender, class, board, present or last school, last class passed and year, marks obtained, subjects, batch, photograph
- Parent or guardian details: name, relation, mobile number, alternate number, email address, residential address
- Academic records: attendance, test marks, progress reports
- Payment records: amount, date, mode, transaction reference, invoice number
- Technical information: basic website usage data such as pages visited
2. What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect or store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, net-banking passwords, or any payment credentials. These are handled entirely by our payment gateway partner, PayU.
- We do not collect Aadhaar numbers or other government identity numbers.
3. Why We Collect It
- To respond to admission enquiries and arrange demo classes
- To review admission applications, enrol students, and allot batches
- To deliver teaching, record attendance, and share academic progress with parents
- To collect fees and issue GST invoices
- To communicate with parents about classes, tests, timings, and fee dues
- To comply with tax and other legal obligations
4. Children's Data & Parental Consent
Students enrolled with us are generally under 18. We collect and process a child's information — including their photograph and date of birth — only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, given at the time of enquiry or admission. We do not use children's data for advertising, tracking, or profiling.
A parent or guardian may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us, subject to records we are required to retain by law (for example, tax records).
5. Student Photographs
Photographs submitted with an admission form are used solely for student identification in our records. We will separately obtain a parent's or guardian's consent before publishing any student's photograph, name, or results on our website, social media, or promotional material.
6. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with:
- PayU, our payment gateway partner, to process online payments
- Our hosting provider, which stores our website and records securely
- Government or regulatory authorities, where required by law
Our teachers and administrative staff access student information only as needed to do their work.
7. WhatsApp & Communication
If you contact us on WhatsApp, or if we send you fee reminders, invoices, or class updates on WhatsApp or SMS, those messages are carried by the respective service provider under its own privacy terms. We use your number only for matters relating to your child's education and fees.
8. Cookies & Website Analytics
Our website may use cookies to function correctly and to understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then not work as intended.
9. How Long We Keep Information
We keep student and fee records for as long as the student is enrolled, and afterwards only for the period required by law — financial and GST records are generally retained for 8 years. Enquiries and admission applications that do not result in admission are deleted or anonymised within 24 months.
10. How We Protect Information
- Our systems are accessed over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection
- Access is restricted to authorised staff with individual passwords
- Passwords are stored in hashed form and cannot be read by anyone, including us
- Uploaded files are validated and stored in a restricted location
- Records are backed up regularly
No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access.
